Let me start by saying that I made a false start. After paying the gate fee it took me some 5 weeks to really get going. 

As I am a Netherlands citizen I had to take a few more hurdles than most of your subscribers. The first problem was to find a solid broker.

Another minor problem is the fact that we have a different time zone here in Europe. That means I am not able to be at my computer by the time your recommendations arrive but only 4 to 6 hours later, to discover I missed the sweet beginning of a trend!

To the figures.

“…I MADE Money Even When I Did It Wrong!”

I read and continued to read about the "beta testers" only as a headline. It just didn't make sense to me to read something that I knew would not appeal to me.

I actually thought it would be something like writing something for someone everyday for dollars and I would just delete it. Then I realized one day it was from Jack Crooks so I thought it would be in my interests to take a few minutes and see what the fuss was about.

What a great day that was.

I received my first alert on a Euro call on the same day my account was set up. I entered the trade myself and didn't complete it correctly (I have learned since). I had 15 K in my account and bought what I thought were 4 calls at a little less than 2500 bucks. The alert came out at the end of the day and I got it entered about 3:50 PM. I felt very satisfied with myself. I got up the next morning and received an email from my broker telling me that I might get a margin call and I had no idea what that meant but it didn't sound like they were congratulating me.

I trade futures for a living on the ES.

I called them immediately and they told me that what I had actually done was buy calls worth 15 thousand dollars. I sure am glad I was sitting down. Anyway they asked me what I wanted to do.

I said I guess I have to sell them right? They said it would be up to me. I had a choice since I had another futures account.  I said I better sell because I really didn't know what else to do and I sure didn't want to send them some more money. They said OK and sold them on the spot. I made 5 k on that 18 hour trade. I have one more trade that has been sent me and I am ups 30% on that one.

“Tough Times Never Last
But Tough People Do…And Grow Wealthy
For IT!”

Pretty impressive, right?

You just read about a rare and unusual group – and that’s why I wanted to bring them to your attention.

Truth is, it wasn’t but a couple months ago when I invited each of them to be a part of our second small group of “beta-testers!” And while some cancelled, quit, and gave up before ever really getting started – that’s OK!

I say this not because I didn’t appreciate their business. Not because I didn’t want them to be successful. But rather, because I realize “trading” is not for everyone.

Not for most.

And certainly not for the boxer with a “glass jaw.” Anyone can get in the ring. Wear the silk shorts. Some can even throw a pretty good punch. But it’s their “glass jaw” that prevents them from victory. It’s their inability to take a hit or deal with loss. But I’m proud to say, the “beta-testers” profiled in this letter do not have “glass jaws!”

Many people start “trading” because of the promise of “riches”…the idea of one day quitting their day job to live the life of a full-time trader…working a few hours a day…earning multiples of their “40-hour” efforts…with a pursuit of freedom…and the American dream – but, and this is a big one – they don’t want to get “hit.”

I suppose none of us do. But taking losses (a “hit” on occasion) is a part of the game. The great Babe Ruth hit the baseball only 34% of the time. Joe Montana completed only 63% of his passes. And Barry Sanders, undoubtedly among the best to ever play, was tackled “for a loss” more than any other running back in NFL history. As a trader, losses are a part of the game. The key is minimizing the losers, staying focused, resilient, and having the courage to “get up” and go another round.

Well the letters above are from people who exemplify those traits – and do not have “glass jaws”…who can withstand a loss or two…and have the courage to stay in the game! Congratulations to them.
