We are currently long Bunge (BG) in the CTA portfolio. As a result of option premiums earned, we are long BG at a net cost $58.20 after we bought the stock in December because the price wound up below $60 on December 16th. We had sold BG $60 puts down to $1.80 on November 8th, 2011 yielding a net purchase price of $58.20 or lower. Bunge reported earnings today and blew away street estimates. The stock is up $3 bucks today alone!

BHI stock is currently trading at $63.50 a share.

Action to take: Sell BG April $65 call options at a minimum of $1.40 per option.

If the price of Bunge is trading above $65 a share on April 21st, 2012 we will sell the stock at a net price of $66.40, or a profit of around 14% in less than six months. We are looking to generate income on BG in the CTA portfolio. If BG is under $65 on expiration day in April, we may sell another call option to increase our income on BG depending on the level and outlook of the stock.
